In Vacanza

Apparently Inzaghi should be back for the game against Juve which is on the 17th as he is starting a special training programme tomorrow. Hopefully he will be back before I am, I’m away travelling for three weeks, with not much likelihood of internet access, but I’ll be back for the beginning of the season. Forza Milan and Forza Pippo.
Gammy leg updates
By: Penny |
Good news on Inzaghi, in as much as his leg doesn’t look that serious, he should be back playing by the 17th of August.
Not so good about Borriello, unfortunately. Prof Martens is going to operate on his knee and he should be out [...]

It still hurts
By: Penny |
It seems that the trouble is a thigh strain in Inzaghi’s left leg. He’s been given a couple of days off to rest it, and so he will no doubt be at home, lying on the settee, watching old episodes of Rosemary and Thyme, because [...]

Dolore
By: Penny |
Brief update on the old man. Inzaghi missed last nights low scoring friendly against Cremonese because he has a pain in his leg, his left leg. He has been training in the gym with Maldini but didn’t train at all today.
It’s [...]

La Famiglia Inzaghi
By: Penny |
So, pre season has started, with Inzaghi at Milanello, apparently scoring hat tricks. Little Inzaghi has been less fortunate, but more about his problems later. I thought it might be helpful to write a little background information on the brothers, just to put [...]

Back in harness
By: Penny |
Milan, including Inzaghi, were back in training yesterday. Money being so tight there was no pleasant sojourn by the seaside in the manner of Real Madrid. Instead, there was a general gathering at Milanello and a presentation of the reason why money is so tight, [...]

as it affects our hero. “Bestest friend in football except my brother Simone” Christian Vieri is safely ensconced at Atalanta, despite the howling protests of the fans. Since they are the same ones who kicked their way through a perspex screen in an attempt [...]

Unlike Pippo
By: Penny |
this blog is known for its altruism, so in response to overwhelming public demand, here are five of Pippo’s Champions League goals for Milan, in no particular order.
We begin with a goal which, officially, isn’t even Inzaghi’s, against Ajax in 2003. It was actually given [...]

Il fratellino
By: Penny |
Atalanta have released Simone Inzaghi, for good behaviour, presumably, and he will be returning to Rome. It’s still not clear exactly what the position is about his contract, which, by my reckoning, should have ended last month. He is going in ritiro with [...]

Long in the tooth
By: Penny |
I sometimes wonder what Milan do to their players to keep them so young. It’s not just Maldini, still frolicking around the San Siro in his dotage, have you ever seen Albertini and Leonardo? They look unnervingly similar to the way they did when [...]
