Another disappointment in the offing
By: Penny | June 2nd, 2008
It seems that even if he is asked to go to the Olympics, Inzaghi may miss out, as Milan are putting their foot down.
“A 35 year old at the Olympics?” said Galliani “what is the point of that?” Obviously he is the last person to realise that Milan were fielding a front line at the end of last season where one forward was old enough to be the father of the other.
It seems that no one over 21 is going, not even Kaka, which is a shame. My understanding is that the Milan players are supposed to report for training again on the 16th July, well before the Olympics start in August and presumably there are pre-season tours, but surely one rather thin striker wouldn’t be missed.
