By: Penny | July 24th, 2008Brief update on the old man. Inzaghi missed last nights low scoring friendly against Cremonese because he has a pain in his leg, his left leg. He has been training in the gym with Maldini but didn’t train at all today.
It’s nothing to worry about, the gazetta promised, it’s just that they need to look after him, like a fine wine. “One like him isn’t born every day,” they say. I love the gazzetta.

no matter how many obstacles he faces, Pippo is immortal and will continue to score forever.
the off-season during the calciopoli, Milan players had to report early for CL preliminary games. Galliani said at the end of the season, after an exhausting season and a world cup, Pippo was the first to show up at the Milanello. although he only played (and scored) in the preliminary game, he was benched for the season, but he did not complain or get moody, but in the end when he was needed he reported for duty and thats what he exactly did in the CL 07 Final (scoring 2 goals). and thats why Pippo Mio is a legend!

Inzaghi seems to love the game so much, and that is probably why he is still playing at the highest level at almost 35. That is a great story, let’s hope he keeps going for a good few seasons yet.
